About Me

It is with great joy and excitement that I announce my candidacy for re-election as Justice of the Peace, Precinct 6, Denton County.

My education, extensive legal experience, and lifelong commitment to service uniquely qualify me to continue serving in this role. As a naturalized American citizen originally from Mexico, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve our diverse community and am proud to use my Spanish in court every day to help ensure access to justice for all.

My husband and I have lived in the same Denton County precinct for over 20 years. Together, we are raising four children—three boys and one girl—along with our lively household of four dogs, one cat, and a bearded dragon. We are active members of our church and have volunteered in the Student Ministry for many years.

I bring more than 20 years of legal experience, having dedicated my entire career to helping people navigate the court system. I have served individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic circumstances, always guided by professionalism, integrity, ethics, and sound judgment. I am known as a peacemaker who leads with both courage and compassion.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University and a Master’s degree in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management from Southern Methodist University. I am also a certified mediator. This combination of education and experience has enabled me to run a fair, compassionate and well-managed court.

As the only candidate in the race with a lifelong commitment to serving those who come before the court, I would be honored to have your prayers and support as I seek re-election.
